July 2023

engine light was on and wiper blades were next to useless. wasn’t to fussed until the owner started throwing abuse our way.

Response from Edward

Kay was not the driver of my van it was her son. I still waiting for Uber to tell me if he was an authorised driver. The son texted me about the wiper blades and asked would refund him if he purchased new wiper blades, I said yes if he returns the old wiper blades. The engine light only related to one glow plug and is not detrimental to starting the engine. I spoke to the son when he returned the van, and we had a nice chat. I thought at that time that he was the authorised borrower. The problems started when I checked the van after he had left, he had not returned the trolley. I texted him and he replied he would return it tomorrow so I accepted that, but the trolley was not returned when he said he would return it. I tried to call him, but he would not answer his phone I texted him and he replied more than an hour later and hay I’ll drop it off tomorrow. I replied this is not good I want it back now. There was no reply, I sent another text and said my next call is to the police, there was no reply. I then noticed that the phone number for the booking was different to the number I was texting the son. So, I rang that number and found out that the borrower was not the person I was texting. The trolley turned up on Thursday after the van was returned on the Monday. At no time did I start throwing abuse, if asking for the return of my property is abuse I give up.
