This Golf has great sight lines, drives really well (has a nice small turning circle), and is very reliable. The boot space is usually sufficient, and if it's not then you can fold down the back seats. Easy pickup, easy to drive
We noticed the first day some steam coming out of the car but we thought it was nothing. Next day the coolant light popped up and although we refilled it the light wouldn’t turn off. When we were arriving to the city the car engine stopped and we needed assistance. It turned out that one of the tubes that connect the coolant system was broken. We needed help from RACV and towing.
Hi Francisco, very sorry this happened to you. The car was last serviced in November 2020, yet unfortunately this was an unexpected failure with the car's coolant system - as you say one of the coolant tubes broke which caused the engine to overheat. It is now being fixed (the mechanic has just returned from holidays) and I have requested the coolant system to be thoroughly serviced and tested. Again, very sorry for the hassle this has caused you. It is the first (and hopefully only) time this has happened to a borrower of the Golf on CND. I hope you will borrow the car for another run once it's back on the road. Best regards, Ben
