I think the car needs servicing for all these lights in the dashboard. It also doesn't smell very good, could use a good clean. But drives very well to be honest.
I think the daily cost of this car takes into account some of the issues so I wouldn't complain too much. But the whistling roof rack is something to put up with (it starts at 40km/ph) and there's also a fair bit of squeaking coming from under the dashboard somewhere that makes it sound like an old truck. I suspect the previous driver did not vacuum so it was a little messy/grassy on the floor but it wasn't too bad. I don't think I can rate any problems as "mechanical issues" so I'll leave that open. Ultimately it drove well for the hour-long trips I drove it on. It looks nice on the outside and the boot is quite handy. Air conditioning is the modern kind that genuinely keeps you comfortable, so it served me well.
Sorry for failing to vacuum before your booking because I was being busy, but normally I do so. I believe the squeaking noise is due to tyre being too hard (they are aftermarket extra wide ones). After I lowed the front tyre pressure from 2.7 to 2.5, the noise has gone. I have always been thinking of removing the roof rack but some might still need them. The workaround for its whistling noise might be turning on the music. :-)
Since the last time I rented, Stanley’s fixed up the issues I noticed with the car. The experience was a lot better this time. Thanks a lot Stanley. Thanks
