Very good car and comes with a useful trolley :)
We figured out the car had a problem with the brakes once we were on the highway just after picking up the car. The issue was apparently known to the owner and was supposed to have been fixed beforehand. Car Next Door did a very very poor job handling our issue, resulting in 3 phone calls, half an hour spent waiting for NRMA for nothing, and the owner taking the car back without Car Next Door informing us.
The owner did not know that there was an issue! The pads and rotors were changed prior to you picking up the vehicle. So we found it strange that you experienced a problem. After the vehicle was returned the drivers front wheel was removed and some debris (steel rod welded to a plate) was caught in the brake assembly causing a grating sound against the rotor. The debris must have been picked up when you were driving the vehicle. Fortunately the only casualty was a $14 brake sensor which has since been replaced. Once we were notified that there was a problem we collected the vehicle so you were inconvenienced any further by waiting for the NRMA though they probably could have removed the wheel and extracted the foreign object for you. If there is an issue with a vehicle it is probably best to call the owner so they can attempt to help you out. An offshore call centre can only do what there computer screen tells them and stick to an automated script.
