I have booked this for long trip based on past good reviews and unfortunately this car did not meet my expectations. The car shakes above 100km/hr so went around 90km/hr on 110 zone. Side doors are hard to open sometimes and vehicle makes lot of noise on little bumpy roads. It drove ok for a day or so and then engine problems started, So we always went slow with the vehicle. I had to call road assistance twice and vehicle had broken down stranding us in the cold without any transportation back to home. There was a faulty fuel sensor and vehicle abruptly stops or slows down on little of steep roads. Luckily ubercarshare support were very helpful. The owner did acknowledge the issue and since the vehicle has done 276k km I would suggest more frequent checks on vehicle since this is on carshare platform. Luckily after a long wait for taxi we got back home.
The vehicle is a car share vehicle more frequent major servicing is undertaken however something’s can’t be predicted. Sadly despite just having a major service a brand new fuel pressure sensor decided to die after only 700km of life. Sometimes component failure can’t be predicted and is even more unpredictable given the component was brand new. It however has been repaired and extensively road tested and is now ready to take borrowers on their next adventure.
