Car Next Door is the fastest-growing car sharing network in Australia, and we’re on a mission to fundamentally change the way people think about transport. Since 2012, we have grown to have around 1,500 cars on our platform and have had over 150,000 bookings.

About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Customer Engagement Representative to manage the ‘owner journey’ for those who have put their vehicles on our platform. The growth of our business will depend on your excellent sales and retention skills, and your ability to ensure a smooth journey for car owners. You’ll be instrumental in helping build a sustainable and long-lasting fleet of cars for our members.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, located in our offices in Pyrmont. We are offering a salary & potential equity for the right person.

What you'll be doing:

  • Welcoming new owners to the platform after their vehicles have been activated
  • Answering any questions owners may have, and allaying any concerns
  • Making sure we have collected all of the information required to maximise earnings for new Car Next Door owners
  • Re-engaging existing owners through established retention and engagement processes, with the opportunity to make contributions to the development and implementation of future processes
  • Focusing on targeted company objectives and key results
  • Sales and retention administration
  • Answering any questions owners may have, and allaying any concerns
  • Making sure we have collected all of the information required to maximise earnings for new Car Next Door owners

What you'll bring:

  • 1+ years’ experience in customer service, with experience in Sales & Customer/Client retention desirable
  • The ability to manage and prioritise key tasks in a timely manner
  • The ability to engage, and re-engage, a diverse range of customers
  • Proven technical ability, evidenced by previous work experience using multiple applications simultaneously
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in Google and Microsoft suites
  • Previous experience working in a startup environment would be a bonus (but don’t worry, this is not a deal-breaker)
