Project Coordinator - Short term contract

Car Next Door is fundamentally changing the way Australia travels by turning any car into a share car. We let Car Owners share their car with their neighbours during times they aren’t using it themselves. We do this by providing an online marketplace with safe and trusted members, a booking system and a range of in-vehicle technologies to make car sharing safe, fast, and easy for both Car Owners and Car Borrowers.  

What will be your key focus?

Summer is a really busy time for us and cars are in high demand. We are looking at bringing on 3 - 4 hundred cars onto the Car Next Door fleet, and then decommissioning them again after the summer peak. 
We’re looking to attract an enthusiastic and driven individual to help manage this project. This is an opportunity to join a progressive start up with an already proven concept. The position will suit someone with an energetic spirit looking to join a driven and successful team (About Us).

What will you be doing?

  • Working with a number of installers and delivery drivers across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to help commission and decommission new cars to the fleet 
  • Assist with additional side projects 
  •  Operational and strategic support 
  • Other duties as required to support the business 

What will you need to succeed?

  • Excellent organisational skills and solid experience 
  • Moderate to advanced Excel or other spreadsheet skills 
  • Very good communication skills in English 
  • Logistics skills 
  • Project management experience would be good, but not essential 
  • A desire to learn. Be a person who is constantly looking outside for new and better ways to do things.

Where, when and how much?

Location: Sydney (office in Pyrmont) and/or other locations as necessary 

Start date: As soon as possible, ideally you'd be able to start part-time by mid November, and work full-time over December and January.

Package: Target Package range $25 - $30 per hour inclusive of super depending on experience.  For the right person, there is a possibility of longer term work as well, but this is not guaranteed.
