- this was a nightmare. - after i rented out the car, I was given access to the owners special instructions which stated that the car stalls. - I got the car started but it stalled on the road when I was on my way home. - I got it home and had to do some things so left it for a bit. - later on I got in the car and drove about a 100 metres before it stalled again in the middle of an extremely busy road. The brakes and power steering are extremely hard to control when the car stalls and in a car with a hood in the back where visibility is hard it was a nightmare. - i got the car back home around the block but it stalled several more Times. - I caught an ola out to do the stuff I had to do and talked to the owner and cnd who said it was my responsibility to organise racq and then a tow truck. - got nothing done, cost me a tonne of time and money and caused a huge amount of stress and time. - the owner deliberately lent out a car that’s not roadworthy. - it’s a death trap. - do not hire.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. The vehicle now serviced properly and free from any mechanic issues. I always try to keep in top order so always serviced from top mechanic. If you hire this car again I will provide you discount to check out the charges happen within the vehicle. Apologies for any inconvenience caused once again. Things was just not in our favour for this time. Hopefully, I and the car could be better in future.
She was an old beast, but reliable and perfect for the job.
Can't say I enjoyed driving it, but it did a magnificent job carrying things, which was the goal. Huge canopy space.
The special instructions includes the vehicle stall at start because 2 fuel system and instructed to do which not followed also the borrower changed the fuel system manually which cost me more fuel cost which I can not afford. Please read the instructions because every car in Car Next Door is unique.
