Firstly, On collection of the vehicle, the owner had not cleaned it out, there were personal belongings all over the car as well as in the car boot, which was an inconvenience as we had to tidy it before commencing our trip. There were spiders and spider webs in the vehicle and this was a real put off before we could even commence our trip. The owner Jade contacted me on collection of the vehicle to state that i must not park close to curbs as they mark the alloys (The alloys of the vehicle were already badly scrapped and worn) She also stated to make sure that it was refilled with fuel to full, however the car was given to me 3/4 full (however i fully filled the car as requested, as the money is refunded by car next door) The vehicles electrics were also faulty, the electric lock for the doors did not lock them, the key had to be used, when the key is used it only unlocks the drivers doors so all other passengers must wait outside the vehicle until the other doors are unlocked by the driver. the passenger window button when pressing the button to make the window go up, it actually done the opposite and the window went down further. The air conditioning had a musty smell so we did not use it on our trip. On returning the vehicle, it was late at night (10.30pm) as we were making the most of the vehicle for the day. I could not find any parking on the specified road of return so i contacted the owner directly as she has previously contacted me, to check where i had parked was ok, which it wasn't. I had stated that there were no spaces on the whole road, to the owner and would another street be ok to park on or was the visitor parking that was suggested on Car next door ok to park in which she responded "sorry i cannot help you, you need to keep trying to find a space" There was no activity on the road, so no cars were moving as it was late in the evening. The owner was extremely unhelpful with this matter and also suggested that i should not have contacted her, when infact she had contacted me first. I drive for over 45miutes to find a space on this road and the return of the car nearly passed the time we had stated for return because of this. I will not be renting this vehicle ever again mainly due to the owners etiquette and manner towards me following the hire of the car. I am a customer of Car next Door and she is a supplier to Car Next Door so it is her responsibility to show at least some sort of customer service. I have never had any issues like this with any other vehicle i have hired from Car Next Door.
