Still have mechanical issues, even though I have reported the gear failure. Car was not clean, dirty inside and outside. I guess they don’t want a regular customer borrowing their car. :(
Hi Joao, Thank you for the review appreciate the feedback. The car has been serviced so gears work fine. I am aware that if the car hasn't been driven for some time the clutch pedal may need to be pulled out towards you then depressed to reset its position - as is in the welcome message to all borrowers. It is disappointing when cars are not left clean by borrowers but a note that I have since detail cleaned the car and the next borrower should find it in good condition. Thanks, Ed
Look, it runs, but the auto-electrics are pretty surreal. Airbag light always on, check engine oil light comes and goes, rear windshield wiper decides all on its own whether and whenever it works, rear driver's side door doesn't lock, engine rumbled/vibrated excessively quite often, and whenever I turned the ignition on, the car felt like it would die at any minute. Other than all of that, it was a pleasant car that was clean and worked without actual functional issues, just the implied threat of them. Didn't really feel safe leaving stuff in the car, though, since the rear driver's side door wouldn't lock, regardless of whether you locked by pressing the remote or by turning the key in the door.
Hi Benjamin, Appreciate the review and have just picked the car up from my mechanic after your concerns. The airbag itself has been fixed but warning light electrics are faulty. The oil leak has also been fixed. As for the rear windshield it works fine and just needed to be turned off via the right hand side steering wheel lever. Correct that the cars central locking system unfortunately does not work anymore. I am glad to hear that you made good use of the car otherwise.
The first gear is very hard. Specially with cold engine. But give a moment and you get through. I would recommend servicing the vehicle.
