I have had many issues with this car - the lockbox not opening on multiple occasions (causing me to be late), the car not locking as the key was not working and very sensitive breaks. The owner was never contactable by Uber to resolve any issues and then tried to charge me for the car not being locked (despite reporting the issue and waiting with the car for as long as I could). I also parked the car facing the wrong way - completely my fault - but no parking fee occurred as it was a small residential side street. The owner reported this to Uber so they could get half of the fee $60. Completly within their rights to do this but not a very nice thing to do considering any parking fee would have been charged to me anyway. I will not be renting again as there has been an issue every time I borrow this car. I have had no issues with any other car.

Response from Sandy

There needs to be truth in your feedback. You have borrowed this vehicle 11 times. Previously the lockbox was tempremental however UCS replaced this 2 months ago and no issues since. The brake pads are also brand new so the vehicle does stop incredibly quickly for the size of the pads. Yes you were fined $60 for parking the wrong direction a previous time and because I had to come out in the pouring rain in a narrow street and correct the car you were billed $60. Probably better than the $300 the council would have billed you. Then there is the issue you have faced most recently where you didn't lock the vehicle. Again another $60 fine for you becasue you still had the glass hatch ajar. Quite a simple process really, all doors including the hatch need to be closed before the car will lock. UCS did try and contact so you could go back and close the hatch however as I had to send someone to go and do it you were charged an inconveniece fee. Would suggest you probably catch the bus as it may be less frustrating for you.
