[When you book, also pls send me a text (app SMS notification not working)] This BMW i3 is an EV REX: Electric vehicle (EV) hybrid as it has a petrol range extender engine (REX). So no 'range anxiety'! BMW design + quality - the BMW i3 is designed from the ground up as an EV, not like some other EVs which are electric versions of existing petrol models. The car is powered by charging from my solar panels (when at home base). Being an older EV its battery range is limited to about 90km*, but it has a hybrid mode, so automatically switches to petrol when battery is low. Uses RON95 or E10 91 petrol. Running in hybrid mode it has about 7litre/100km economy rate.* (*Note: Depends on driving mode & style. As an EV the range can be maximised using ECO PRO+ driving mode to achieve significantly more than 90km in some conditions, etc.) It has a Type 1 charger plug if a public charging station with Type 1's is handy. Especially if you have the car overnight, you can charge it by plugging a normal household 240V powerpoint using the adaptor lead & extension lead provided (in the boot). The car size is probably best described as small to medium. Note: Strictly 4 seater only (no 5th seat belt). Cargo dimensions shown are with rear seats down.

Amazing & zippy electric car with a small petrol tank to extend the range. Ideal for city use but I took it for a long drive of around 500km and as long as you keep an eye on the range left and fill gas and/or charge electric accordingly, there is absolutely no range anxiety. I definitely recommend Glenn’s car !
It's a really cool car, spacious and a funky little EV
