When we picked up the car from the restricted parking zone it was covered in dirt and dust. We tried to clean the windows with the wipers, but there was no water, so we had to drive home and top up the water at our house. The car had an odd smell, which was made worse by turning on the air con. The car was generally fine during the day despite a weird hum when in neutral, but when we went to return the car, it appeared none of the unrestricted car parking areas that the owner had listed existed (maybe at one point they did). We planned to put the car back where we found it in the restricted parking, but it turned out that the car had no permit and it wasn't meant to be parked there originally. We ended up driving around for an hour, calling car next door who were unhelpful, trying to call the owner with no luck. Eventually we managed to find a spot a minute before our allotted time ran out. I've checked my account and Car Next Door have billed me $25 time charge.
