👎🏿 👎🏿 👎🏿 👎🏿 👎🏿 👎🏿 👎🏿 👎🏿 This is my worst experience. You need to read this before hiring this van. Unfortunately, I could’ve refuse to rent the van but I was in a hurry and I had to move thing that afternoon. Also, why did I hire a van, because I needed to move boxes. What was already in the van some empty containers from Australia post. It did make it hard for me to organise my boxes and took me a bit longer. When I hire a van, I expect it to be empty as I need to use the space. Also, there was a vest on the passenger seat. The van is not road worthy, the seatbelt for the driver wasn’t working, the buckle was faulty, so to be able to drive it, I had to use the passenger buckle. And because it was hard to reach, I had to accept the seatbelt pressing on my neck, which in turn made it very very uncomfortable. I had to move the seatbelt off my neck every now and then so it doesn’t affect the blood circulation. I said to him you need to check the van after each person, and make sure that the space is not occupied by any unnecessary material that can limit the space usable. Now, he is a dodgy person, I booked the van for one day originally (from 6pm on 17 October until 5pm the next day), but he got in touch with me early in the morning of my booking time and he said he need the van on the morning of the 18 of October, I said to him, I can return it after 11pm on the 17 October when I’m done. I believed him, on the 18 October I noticed that the van is hired few hours in the morning and few hours in early afternoon and I saw that on the website of CND. When he contacted me telling me that he needed the car in the morning, he offer me to pick me up from Hurstville station, so I didn’t ask any of my friends to do that. The walking distance is about 15 minutes. When I was at the station, I tried to call him several times but his phone was switch off. So I had to walk to get the van and that caused me pain on my left knee as I’m not supposed to walk long distance. That was a promise that he didn’t deliver, I didn’t ask him, he is the one who made the offer. It doesn’t matter what was his excuse, I didn’t believe him because of his overall attitude. So what he does, he get the hirer to get the car for few hour so he get the full hiring fee for one day, and several times in 24 hours. A very dodgy person. The car hasn’t been serviced for a long time, the light on the dashboard was on, and as an experienced and professional driver, I realised that when changing gears, The response wasn’t the same and not consistent. When Ali asked me what I think about the van, I said to him this is the worst car I ever had. He said, you can’t find a car at that price for rent. I said, I’m not talking about price, the van was dirty and the windscreen was so dirty, you can’t see when the sun hit it. It was very dangerous. He said that the windscreen was clean when he left the car earlier. Which is a lie. It can’t get that dirty in few hours. I had to clean it quickly when I got home. And the washer was spraying the water no where near the windscreen, everywhere except on the windscreen. The left one wasn’t working at all. It doesn’t mean because he leases the van at a cheap value, that we can accept hiring a trash van. So if you decide one day to hire his van, but at least think twice, This is my review and of course I got pictures. He had the guts to ask me to give him the thumbs up and good review and he met me at his house when I returned the van to drive me home. But that doesn’t make any difference to affect my review. I told him he must check the van after each time it was hired. It was a painful and stressful experience. Very lucky I haven’t been stopped by the police, because I could be fined for driving a van not road worthy, especially about the seat belt.

Firstly, the owner must make sure the car is available for the customer for the period it was booked. BUT USING THE VEHICLE FOR THE OWNER'S PERSONAL USE DURING THE TIME IT WAS BOOKED IS UNPROFESSIONAL, INACCURATE AND INTOLERABLE. Based on my booking I scheduled my work and appointments. But the owner took the vehicle and made me and my wife to wait at a different location for an hour. When he arrived to the place we were waiting, he insisted me to drop him at home. While there are only two seats in the vehicle, three of us certainly can't fit in. Then me and my wife had to walk to the place he parked the vehicle which was about 850m away from where he met us. VERY INCONSIDERATE. The van is full of issues. The seat belts are not getting fastened and locked. I had to struggle to get it fixed and secured. THAT IS A SECURITY ISSUE. I wonder how this vehicle has been permitted on CarNextDoor. Serious repairs are required.

I respect your opinion but you need to know how to use car next door platform. First of all i was running late 15 minutes and i did inform you earlier and you agreed. Then you asked me to meet and different place when you’re suppose to pickup from Pickup address i am not suppose to bring the car you. You actually need to come to pickup the car but i did you a favour to come to you so you don’t need to walk. And you should know car got 2 seats as it can be googled easily and you never mentioned that you’re 2 people. And i never asked you to wait as you suppose to get the pickup address from your app and you were not there at pickup time while you made me come to a different place. Which i did as a favour but you never appreciate. I have already mentioned in description that van is not in Best cosmetic condition. Its 11 years old not brand new. But its fully functional. I gave you thumbs up as I consider that i was 15 minutes late and you were polite. But van back door was unlocked. You picked up the blanket but never folded it back. So I could have post it all as well but I didn’t do as they were very minor. You just took out your grudges that you had to come to van which you actually suppose to do. 😊
